FPA's forest planning processes

There are two FPA research and advice programs: the Biodiversity Program and the Earth Sciences and Cultural Heritage Program. Specialists in each program have developed sophisticated processes to identify and protect the forest's special values.

The following descriptions of the planning processes applied by the two programs are simplified for the general public - access these through the tabs on the left.

For more details, read the outlines of the processes which the specialists have written for Forest Practices Officers in the FPA services section of this web site.
